ShiftTally was started by a small-business operator who got tired of a simple pattern: every "free" tool for tracking hours, costing jobs or creating invoices turned out to be a lead funnel. Fill in your data, then hit the wall — create an account, verify your email, start a trial, or pay $50–115 a month to unlock the one feature you actually needed (usually job costing across locations).
The math behind a time card, a labor burden or a quote isn't worth $100 a month. It's worth a clean web page that does it instantly, correctly, and without asking who you are.
Our rules
- No signups, ever. No accounts, no email capture, no trials.
- Your data stays on your device. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Entries are saved to your own browser's local storage for convenience — nothing is transmitted to us or anyone else.
- The math is explained. Every tool documents exactly how it calculates, so you can verify it yourself.
- Free stays free. The site may show ads, like most free calculator sites. The tools themselves never move behind a paywall.
